The Government of Ukraine has introduced a new program to support families with children before the start of the school year.
The ‘Schoolchild Package’ Program provides a one-time financial aid of 5,000 hryvnias to parents of first graders. According to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decree No. 809 dated July 07, 2025, the Pension Fund will receive lists of students and their parents from the Ministry of Education. After verifying the data, parents will be informed through the Diia mobile application about the possibility of receiving the aid.
Applications for the payment can be submitted until November 15, 2025, through Diia or in paper form at the Pension Fund service center. The aid is provided in non-cash form for purchasing school supplies, clothing, and footwear. Citizens who have previously received payments under state programs do not need to open a special account.
The funds must be used within 180 days from the moment they are credited. This is an important support measure, allowing for the preparation of children for school without unnecessary financial strain.
