The Department of Social Protection of the Population informs – the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the mechanism of using budget funds for professional adaptation of war veterans, members of their families and families of fallen defenders.
The relevant amendments were made to Resolutions No. 432 of 21 June 2017 and No. 307 of 18 March 2024.
In particular, the categories of persons who will receive vocational adaptation services are defined:
– war veterans who are being discharged or have already been discharged from military service,
– persons with special services to the Motherland
– family members of such persons
– family members of deceased war veterans and Defenders of Ukraine.
Family members include: spouses, minor children, and children who are studying full-time until they graduate, but are not older than 23 years.
The government has also introduced a requirement for these people to be employed after professional adaptation.
