Spring has arrived in the garden and garden

The long-awaited spring is coming into its own. This is one of the most important seasons for the host. Right now, work is starting in the fields, gardens, and orchards. The health of the plants, their growth and the future harvest depend on how timely and correctly the spring work will be performed. But before starting all the work, it is necessary to clean the area. Garbage, dry leaves and plants are collected, beds are cleared of old weeds, fertilizers are applied.

The beginning of spring is one of the most responsible periods in the care of fruit trees and berry trees. This is the best time for transplanting various plants and trees. But it should be borne in mind that young seedlings should be planted before the buds open on them. It is also necessary to start work on the protection of fruit plantations from harmful organisms: insect pests, mites, pathogens, weeds.

Most of the harmful organisms that harm garden plantings are adapted to overwinter on the surface of the soil or in its upper layer, in fallen leaves, in plant remains. Taking into account the beginning of the development of harmful organisms, the fight against them must be started before the buds open. To get rid of caterpillars, leafhoppers, fruit-eating mites, it is necessary to clean the old bark with a scraper, having previously spread a film under the tree. The rest of the bark must be taken outside the garden and burned. Wounds that may be formed due to a temperature drop on the bark of the tree must be treated with a solution of copper sulfate and after drying, covered with garden compost or soil with mullein (1:1)

Soil cultivation is an important stage in the homestead. When the ground warms up enough, the site must be dug up, removing the roots of weeds and pests that wintered in the soil. The beds are formed, and the seeds of vegetables and herbs are sown in the sufficiently warmed ground.

It is necessary to prune trees, remove mummified fruits, old and dry branches. This measure reduces the harmfulness of insects wintering on tree branches. It is also necessary to spray the trees with a solution of copper sulfate (200-300 g per 10 liters of water), which will help get rid of pests and pathogens that have overwintered. This work must be done before the buds open.

Lawns also need attention and care in the spring. After the snow has melted and the ground has dried, the lawn must be combed with a rake or special devices, removing the old grass and loosening the top layer of the soil. Fertilizers are also recommended.

At the beginning of spring, onion, vegetable and flowering crops are planted.

Let your homestead delight you with a blooming appearance and rich harvests after the efforts and work done.
