International Pilgrimage from Belz to Częstochowa: Unity in Prayer

The international pilgrimage from Belz to Częstochowa united believers in prayer and spirit.

The head of the Belz Territorial Community, Oksana Bereza, along with city council employees and pilgrims, participated in a solemn Mass, praying to the icon of the Belz-Częstochowa Mother of God for Ukraine. Every summer, from Belz begins a special spiritual journey — an international walking pilgrimage to Częstochowa. This year, for the thirteenth time, it united believers from Ukraine, Poland, and other countries and was dedicated to the 643rd anniversary of the transfer of the Belz Mother of God icon to the Jasnogóra Monastery.

On July 31, pilgrims set out on foot from Belz to Częstochowa, and the long kilometers of the road were filled with communal prayers, songs, and reflections. The main gathering took place today, August 14th, at Jasna Góra — in the heart of Częstochowa, near the miraculous icon of the Belz-Częstochowa Virgin Mary. Here all participants gathered: those who walked the entire way on foot and those who joined later and arrived by bus.

The pilgrimage from Belz to Częstochowa is not just a tradition but a living path of unity across generations, borders, and hearts. And may the Blessed Virgin Mary, who over six centuries ago brought her patronage from Belz to Jasna Góra, protect all who turn to Her in faith and hope.
