In Heroes Square, a white and black flag was solemnly raised, which has become a nationwide symbol of hope, support, remembrance and solidarity with Ukrainian prisoners of war, missing persons and deported citizens.
This flag is a reminder of all those still awaited at home, of the families who live every day in tension and hope for news from their loved ones, and of the people whose names and fates must not be forgotten.
The raising of the flag took place on the day of commemoration of the holy martyrs Faith, Hope, Love and their mother Sophia. This symbolic coincidence underscored the spiritual meaning of the event, as the story of these saints recalls the power of faith, resilience of spirit and love that helps one endure the most difficult trials.
The participants stressed the importance of prayer and ongoing support for prisoners of war, missing persons and deported Ukrainians, as well as preserving the memory of everyone who has still not returned home.
