The date of the celebration of Kurban Bayram changes every year and depends on the changing phases of the moon. In 2023, the holiday for Muslims began on the night of June 28 and will end on July 2.
“I sincerely congratulate the believers of Islam on the holiday of Kurban Bayram. Lviv Oblast has become a home for thousands of Muslims who, through prayer and work, are bringing our victory closer. Thank you for your tirelessness and unity. Together we will overcome everything,” congratulated the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.
The Muslim community of Ukraine actively participated in providing assistance to the residents of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, which most felt the consequences of the Russians’ detonation of the Kakhovskaya HPP. Water, medicines, things and food were brought to the evacuated residents of the flooded areas. Residents of the Kherson region also received folding beds, bed linen, hygiene products and adult diapers. Separate cars were brought from Lviv and other cities of Ukraine.
