On Saturday, 13 July, the Department of Social, Psychological, Legal Support and Interaction with Defenders and their Families organised a pilgrimage to the village of Bilychi, Starosambir district, for family members of the fallen defenders of the Drohobych community.
The participants gathered for a joint prayer for the defenders of Ukraine, prisoners of war, missing and deceased soldiers, and volunteers.
The bus with the participants left the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Drohobych at 8:30 am. The journey was full of excitement and prayers, and the atmosphere was filled with warmth and mutual support.
The pilgrimage began with a solemn liturgy. During the service, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, for the health and well-being of the military who are now on the front line, as well as for those who gave their lives for the independence of our country.
After the liturgy, all those present were treated to delicious kulesh and fragrant tea. This was a great opportunity for communication and mutual support between the families of the fallen defenders and other participants of the pilgrimage. Participants exchanged stories, shared their experiences and found solace in joint prayers and conversations.
The organisers would like to thank Father Ivan Kovba for his spiritual guidance and Myroslav Luzhetskyi, Director of Drohobych ATP of SMU, for providing transport for the families of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.
