In Lishnia, a Memorial Alley for Fallen Heroes is Being Established

In the Drohobych community, work continues on establishing memorial sites to honour Ukraine’s defenders. Such places are of great significance to the families of the Heroes and the entire community, as they serve as spaces for respect and gratitude.

In particular, in the village of Lishnia on Ivan Franko Street, a Memorial Alley is being established from scratch. Street lighting poles have already been installed, and the groundwork is being prepared for paving. These tasks are being undertaken by employees of the utility company “Upravitel JEO“, who are also restoring the monument to Ivan Franko, combining the refurbishment with the preservation of public space and historical heritage.

The initiative is being carried out with the participation of the families of the fallen soldiers, with financial support from patrons and the assistance of the community’s leadership. The opening of the Memorial Alley is planned for Heroes of Ukraine Day in May.

Meanwhile, in Drohobych, in the 19th-century park known as Stepan Bandera Park, a new stage of work on expanding the Memorial Alley is being completed. Additional structures for photographs of the fallen soldiers have been installed, and the area will be supplemented with landscaping elements.

The preservation of the memory of those who gave their lives for Ukraine remains a shared duty of the community towards their families and future generations.
