In the settlement of Lopatin, ceremonial events were held for Heroes Day, dedicated to honouring the fighters for Ukraine’s freedom and independence.
The events began with a ceremonial march involving young people, representatives of institutions and local residents. The participants of the procession walked to memorial sites, where commemorative events took place.
At these sites, a joint requiem service was held for the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine. Those present prayed and observed a minute of silence in memory of Heroes of different generations — both those who fought for Ukraine’s freedom in the past and those who are now defending the state from the Russian aggressor.
Heroes Day served as a reminder of the resilience of the Ukrainian spirit, and of the courage and self-sacrifice of the Defenders who stand guard over Ukraine’s independence.
