A commemorative plaque was installed on the facade of the church of St. mchch Bezsrybniks Kosma and Damian Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, where the future Patriarch was baptized when he was 4 days old.
The consecration of the memorial tablet was attended by representatives of the Club of the Greek-Catholic intelligentsia, the leadership of the St. Yur BF, the clergy, monasticism, representatives of all levels of government and the public of Lviv. The consecration was presided over by the Head of the UGCC His Beatitude Svyatoslav (Shevchuk).
“I thank you that you did not lose a good opportunity to once again draw wisdom, strength of spirit, and most of all – peace, which the servant of God – Lubomir, always carried within himself as a gift of the Holy Spirit,” emphasized the Head His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
During the event, the head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, together with the rector of the temple, Father Volodymyr, unveiled the memorial tablet of the Servant of God Blessed Lubomir.
“As Lyubomyr Huzar emphasized, one should see people not in awards or positions, but first of all in people. Please listen to his instructions. Let’s be honest, not honorable. I suggest giving up personal awards, because there is someone to receive them at the front. Let’s do good. Let’s change society and believe that our Heavenly Father is with us. Then we will definitely win and build such a state that Lyubomyr Huzar dreamed of for Ukraine”, – stressed the head of the region Maksym Kozytskyi
The memorial table was made at the expense of the public and the laity.
Also during the event, Head His Beatitude Svyatoslav together with Maksym Kozytskyi redeemed a postage stamp dedicated to Lubomir Huzar.
