In the village of Pidbirtsi, near Lviv, there are plans to build a large complex that will combine spiritual and sports-rehabilitation functions. The complex will include football pitches, a nursery school, a medical centre, and parking facilities, both underground and above ground.
The initiative for this project comes from a religious organisation — the Religious Administration of the Monasteries of the Salesian Congregation of the Eastern Rite in Ukraine. The development will be located at 3 Chervonoyi Kalyny Street. The Chief Architect of the city, Anton Kolomeytsev, noted that the project complies with the approved urban planning documentation.
The area will feature various sports and rehabilitation facilities, as well as the creation of public spaces for the residents and nearby villages. Plans include halls for activities, with stands, a swimming pool, saunas, and cycle lanes. The complex will be situated on a land plot of 7 hectares, of which the buildings will occupy 4.8 hectares.
There are plans for three full-size football pitches, one training pitch, and seven structures of various sizes. The enclosed buildings will have a total of 7,800 square metres. The entire complex will be part of a unified architectural appearance.
