On Saturday, 30 May, a memorial prayer for the fallen male and female Defenders of Ukraine will be held in the fields of honourable burials at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. The prayer will, as is traditional, be led by the chaplains of the Military Chaplaincy Centre of the Lviv Archeparchy of the UGCC.
The joint prayer will take place in several fields of honourable burials:
- 10:30 — in the field of honourable burials No. 76;
- 10:50 — in the field of honourable burials No. 67;
- 11:00 — in the field of honourable burials No. 86A (the burial place of modern-day defenders);
- 13:00 — in the field of honourable burials No. 87 (the burial place of modern-day defenders, Pasichna Street).
A requiem service for the fallen soldiers at Lychakiv Cemetery is held on the last Saturday of every month. The prayer takes place with the blessing of Bishop Ihor, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Lviv of the UGCC.
