On a Sunday, a magical event called “Rozkolyada” took place at St. George’s Church, where parish choirs together with the local folk group “Vyshyvanochky” created an unmatched Christmas atmosphere. Songs and carols echoed under the vaults of the church, filling the space with light and warmth, while Father Ivan Shkolyk personally handed out thanks to the participants for their contribution to the celebration.
The festive event continued in the monastery garden, where participants could enjoy hot beverages and a variety of treats. In addition, visitors had the opportunity to take part in a workshop on Ukrainian headscarves, conducted by the artisan Vira Hnativity. She shared her knowledge about traditional methods of tying headscarves, each of which has its unique symbolic meaning in Ukrainian culture.
