In Lviv, the 20th anniversary of the festival ‘Christmas Star Blaze’ is celebrated with a traditional procession.
This year’s festival, which will take place on December 28, will begin at 12:30 PM from Museum Square. Participants will walk through the central streets of the city, finishing with carols near the main Christmas tree. “The 20th festival ‘Christmas Star Blaze’ is not just a procession of star bearers, but a real event that brings together craftsmen from all over Ukraine,” said Marta Beshley.
Organizers emphasize that the Procession is a symbol of the spiritual journey and cultural continuity. Nadiya Dzvonyk added: “The star reminds not only of faith but also of the aspiration for beauty — aesthetic, creative, and lively.”
Children were offered creative workshops for making Christmas stars. There will also be a charity ‘Star Bearers Run,’ aiming to support the ‘Bureviy’ brigade.
