Sheptytskyi District Opened the ‘Culture Acts’ Festival

On June 13th, the first reporting concert of the ‘Culture Acts’ festival took place at the Myroslav Skoryk Lviv National Philharmonic.

The Sheptytskyi district presented its cultural heritage through song, dance, folk crafts, and stage imagery. Participants and guests were greeted by Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Ivan Sobko. ‘Today’s event is vivid proof that authenticity lives as long as people create it. Culture acts — it is exactly what gives us strength during the war. We gathered today, together with communities from all districts of Lviv Region, to showcase our cultural wealth, our identity. The Ukrainian language, art, traditions — these are invaluable. And we must not only preserve them but also promote and pass them on,’ he emphasized.

The audience had the opportunity to enjoy vibrant vocal and instrumental performances, a fashion show displaying authentic Sokal embroidery, and an exhibition of traditional pottery, pysanka art, rag dolls, and corn leaf crafts.

The ‘Culture Acts’ festival envisions seven creative reports by communities of the Lviv region. The next concert will take place on June 27th, featuring performances from the Zolochiv district. All concerts are free and open to visitors.
