A Record Chess Festival in Memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred Took Place in Horodok

A record chess festival in memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred took place in Horodok. This was reported by gorodok gromada. This year, the festival set a record: 283 participants competed at the chessboards over two days (165 on the first day and 118 on the second).

The geography of the participants is impressive: Khmelnytskyi, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod, Zaporizhzhia, Ternopil, Lviv, Sambir, Drohobych, Truskavets, Pustomyty, Stryi, Sheptytskyi, Morshyn, Novoyavorivsk, Brody, Pasiky Zubrytski, Sosnivka.

With welcoming speeches were the head of the community Volodymyr Remenyak, vice-president of the Ukrainian Chess Federation Dmytro Horoshenko, deputy mayor Iryna Tyrpak, and the main judge of the competition Volodymyr Hrabyinskyi. They remembered the Heroes Ivan Blyok, Volodymyr Topiy, Volodymyr Zherebny, who died during the events in Kyiv.
