International breaking festival Breakidz to be held in Lviv

On Saturday, 6 June, Lviv will host the international breaking festival Breakidz, which will bring together dancers from various cities across Ukraine and from abroad, as well as fans of street culture and contemporary dance.

The festival programme includes breaking competitions in several age categories: children, teenagers and adults. There will also be a separate mixed-team battle, SINE SKILLZ 2 VS 2 MIXED, where participants will perform to live DJ sets. Winners in selected categories will have the opportunity to represent Ukraine at international competitions in Europe.

This year's special guest at Breakidz will be Hiroto Hiro10 Ono, a participant in the Paris Olympic Games and bronze medallist at the 2025 World Breaking Championship.

The festival will take place at two venues in Lviv: on the grounds of Urban Lviv Camp (6 Patona Street) and at Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture (11 Tadeusz Kościuszko Street). The event is open to all.

During the festival, there will also be a screening of the documentary film “House of Street Cultures“, dedicated to the development of street cultures in Ukraine, the role of youth communities in shaping the cultural environment, and the creation of spaces that bring people together around sport, art and creativity. After the screening, a discussion with the film's director is planned; admission is free with prior registration.
