The fourth “Lviv Taste Fair” opens in Lviv with over 50 producers

At the Lviv Palace of Arts, the fourth “Lviv Taste Fair” has opened, bringing together 54 producers from 14 regions of Ukraine. The event will run until 20:00.

The fair has gathered representatives of local and organic production, craft dairy brands, artisanal farms from the Lviv region, as well as guests from other regions, international partners and visitors interested in Ukrainian gastronomic traditions.

The official opening was conducted by the First Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, Taras Vysotskyi. The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, the Lviv Regional Council, the Lviv City Council, international partners and the organisers.

According to Taras Vysotskyi, the fair has become a traditional event that emerged during the war and testifies to the support for Ukrainian producers and their resilience. The First Deputy Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko, stressed the importance of supporting small and medium-sized businesses and of ensuring that products made in Ukraine are perceived as a brand to be proud of both in Ukraine and abroad.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Ukraine, Felix Baumann, recalled that Switzerland has been supporting the “Lviv Taste Fair” for four years now, and that cooperation in the field of agricultural development has been ongoing for more than two decades. In his view, the fair showcases Ukraine’s resilience and the work of Ukrainian producers, who remain competitive on both domestic and foreign markets.

A packed programme has been prepared for visitors: masterclasses, tastings, themed presentations, musical performances and meetings with experts in the gastronomic field. In particular, they are demonstrating the preparation of classic Swiss fondue, local seasonal dishes and cheese products, all cooked live on stage.

The fair is organised by the Lviv Youth Public Organisation “Ecoterra” together with the ProCheese department of Ardis Group, under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, with the support of the Lviv Regional Military Administration and the Lviv City Council and with the backing of Switzerland.
