The final of the Ukrainian Football Cup will take place at “Arena Lviv” on 20th May. The match will feature the winners of the “Bukovyna” — “Dynamo” and “Metalist 1925” — “Chernihiv” pairings. The semi-final matches will be held in a week’s time.
This is the second time “Arena Lviv” is hosting the Ukrainian Cup final. In May 2016, Donetsk “Shakhtar” defeated Luhansk “Zorya” here with a score of 2:0.
The Director of the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Roman Khimyak, noted that this year’s Ukrainian Cup is very unpredictable. “Bukovyna” has already overcome Premier League teams “Karpaty” and “LNZ”, and faced “Dynamo” at the same stage last year. It is still unknown who will compete for the trophy in Lviv, but the match promises to be exciting.
