In a Lviv Oblast Premier League match, football club “Mostyska” faced Lviv-based FC “Pogoń”. Before kick-off, the first symbolic touch of the ball was taken by war veteran, serviceman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, 7th Border Detachment, Volodymyr Shyian.
The match ended in a 3:1 victory for Mostyska. Goals for the team were scored by Vitaliy Kryvoruka, Taras Shchur and Yuriy Svyatyi.
During the game, in keeping with an established tradition, the organisers held a fundraiser in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Fans and match participants donated 5 450 UAH.
The organisers thanked the footballers and spectators for their active participation, support and engagement, as sporting events are combined with assistance for Ukrainian defenders.
