On Ukraine’s Independence Day, the final match of the 2026 Independence Cup took place in the Yavoriv district. The decisive game brought together two local teams — FC “Nemyriv” and FC “Druzhba” (Ruda Krakovetska).
The match was fiercely contested and treated the fans to plenty of excitement. FC “Nemyriv” claimed victory in the tournament, defeating their opponents 2:1.
The organisers also recognised individual player achievements. The best player of FC “Nemyriv” was named as Serhii Kukh, while for FC “Druzhba” (Ruda Krakovetska) the standout performer was Rostyslav Voloshyn.
In total, 32 football teams took part in the 2026 Independence Cup. Yavoriv Mayor Ihor Hrabovskyi congratulated the finalists and stressed the importance of such tournaments for uniting the community and supporting the sporting spirit.
