The village of Pidluby hosted the charity football festival “Game for the Heroes”, dedicated to the memory of fallen and missing defenders Mykhailo Makarevych, Yaroslav Kryvan, Vasyl Ometiukh, Vasyl Khimyak and Andrii Lysyk. All funds raised during the event will be directed to supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As part of the sports programme, two matches took place: a Lviv Region Cup game among WU-12 girls' teams and a memorial tournament in honour of warrior-heroes among U-10 youth teams.
After the matches, all participants received commemorative medals, and the best players and teams were awarded trophies based on the competition results.
In addition to the football programme, a cultural and entertainment programme was prepared for participants and guests. The festival was organised by the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Novoyavorivsk City Council and the People's House of the village of Berdykhiv.
