On September 27, 2025, the traditional children’s mini-football tournament dedicated to the memory of Ihor Nestorovych Kurash took place in the city of Velyki Mosty.
Ihor Nestorovych began his career as a physical education teacher at the Reklynets School. He worked as the director of the Bug Youth Sports School and led the district football federation, actively developing football in the Sokal region.
Memories of Ihor Nestorovych were shared by Yaroslav Royko, Volodymyr Kapusta, Vasyl Sydor, and Myroslav Hbur.
Teams from DYFK Velyki Mosty, DUSS Sokoliany from Sokal, Zhvirka and Ilkovychi, as well as DUSS-2 Sheptytskyi-Silets participated in the tournament. The victory was claimed by the team of DUSS-2 Sheptytskyi-Silets, second place by DUSS Sokoliany Sokal-Ilkovychi, third by DYFK Velyki Mosty, and fourth by DUSS Sokal-Zhvirka.
The best players of the tournament were recognized as: Oleh Romanchuk, Maksym Zamorskyi, Vadym Lebedev, Artem Nosal. Teams were awarded cups, the best players received statuettes, and participants received medals.
