In Vynnyky, Lviv region, a charity football tournament was held to support the command post ‘Shkval’ of the 7th Border Carpathian Unit. The event raised over 5 million hryvnias, which will be used to purchase modern equipment for the border guards.
The 7GreenCup tournament brought together seven teams from socially responsible businesses and the team from the 7th Border Carpathian Unit. As a result of the competitions, the ‘Halytska Svizhyina’ team won first place, the 7th Border Carpathian Unit took second, ‘Kapitel’ third, and Emily Resort fourth.
Tournament guests were offered a rich programme: a food court was in operation, a children’s entertainment zone featuring a border lion, as well as interactive locations with drones and a flight simulator. Canine handlers, along with service dogs, presented a separate programme.
After the tournament, a charity auction took place. Thanks to the sale of lots and a special greeting lot from Pavlo Tabakov, 896 thousand hryvnias were raised.
Ukrainian artists Nataliya Karpa, Pavlo Tabakov, Viktor Vynnyk, Viktoriya Niro, and Panas Buiniy created the musical atmosphere. The ‘Shkval’ team was given an NRC ‘Liut’, purchased by partner companies.
