A backyard football tournament dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day was held at the Krasnenskyi OZZSO No.1 school sports ground.
The competition atmosphere was festive, and the matches were tense and spectacular. Despite the cold weather, the matches were held at a high level. An interesting aspect of the tournament was that among the players were deputies from the village council, who competed equally for victory on the field.
As a result, the team from the village of Sknyliv took first place. The veterans of FC ‘Kozaky’ from the town of Krasne took second place, and third place was claimed by the team ‘Sport is Strength’.
In addition to team results, the best in various nominations were identified: Best player — Vitaliy Famolyak; Best referee — Vasyl Shabat; Best goalkeeper — Taras Hanets.
All participants and winners received medals and cups. They were also recognized by representatives of the ‘Krasnenskyi Brotherhood of Veterans named after General R. Shukhevych’.
The tournament was organized by the Zolochiv District Football Association led by Stepan Volskyi, with the support of the village head Roman Furda. The event once again confirmed that football is not only a sport but also a great opportunity for community unity and honoring important dates for the country.
