Six agricultural enterprises in the Lviv region will receive almost UAH 1.3 million in financial support from the regional budget under the Comprehensive Programme for the Support and Development of Agriculture in Lviv Region for 2021–2026.
The decision was adopted at a regular meeting of the commission responsible for determining recipients of financial support, which took place on 16 September under the chairmanship of Acting Head of the Lviv Regional Council Yurii Kholod, with the participation of Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration and regional councillor Yurii Buchko.
The commission considered 7 applications from agricultural business entities in two areas. The total amount of support for these comes to UAH 1.29 million.
Under the area of interest rate (fees, charges) compensation on financial leasing agreements, support will be provided to four enterprises that have purchased agricultural machinery to upgrade their material and technical base. The leased items include combine harvesters, a tractor, a baler and a plough. The total value of the leasing agreements reaches UAH 39.5 million, and the amount of compensation is UAH 690.8 thousand.
The second area concerns partial reimbursement of the cost of fixed assets for veterans’ businesses. Funding will be provided to two newly established business entities whose founders are a war veteran and a family member of a combatant. They have purchased tractors for their business activities. The value of the machinery is UAH 2 million (excluding VAT), of which UAH 599.9 thousand will be reimbursed from the regional budget.
“Almost 1.3 million hryvnias of support is tangible assistance for six farms in the Lviv region that continue to operate and grow despite the challenges of war. We are reimbursing part of the costs of financial leasing so that farmers can renew their machinery and production facilities. It is particularly important that almost 600 thousand hryvnias under this decision are directed to support veterans who are developing their own businesses in the agricultural sector. It is crucial for the region that our farmers are able to invest in production, create jobs and pay taxes in their communities. By supporting farmers today, we are at the same time supporting the economic resilience of the Lviv region and the food security of the whole of Ukraine,” said Yurii Kholod
The meeting was also attended by the Chair of the Standing Commission on the Activities of the Agro-Industrial Complex, Entrepreneurship and Investment of the Lviv Regional Council, Yurii Radelytskyi.
