Agricultural producers in Lviv region will receive UAH 9.2 million in financial support under the Comprehensive Programme for the Support and Development of Agriculture for 2021–2026. The relevant decision was adopted by the commission for determining aid recipients, which met under the chairmanship of Acting Head of the Lviv Regional Council Yurii Kholod and Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, regional council deputy Yurii Buchko.
The commission considered 12 submitted applications and approved funding in three areas. The largest amount, UAH 8.4 million, will be directed to nine entrepreneurs as partial reimbursement of the cost of 838 head of pedigree livestock.
A further UAH 754,100 has been allocated for two veteran-owned businesses. These funds will be used to purchase seed drills and the necessary components for the operation of their farms.
One business entity will receive UAH 36,800 in interest compensation under financial leasing agreements. This concerns reimbursement of part of the costs for a seed drill worth UAH 4.1 million.
During the meeting, it was stressed that support for livestock farming enables farms to renew their herds and increase production volumes, while assistance to veteran-owned businesses helps veterans and their family members to develop their own enterprises in the agricultural sector.
The work of the commission was also attended by the Chair of the Standing Commission of the Regional Council on the Activities of the Agro-Industrial Complex, Entrepreneurship and Investment, Yurii Radelitskyi.
