State Statistics Service Resumes Rural Household Survey

After a four-year hiatus, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine has resumed the survey of rural households. From 18th May, a selective survey commenced, which will serve as a unique source of information about activities in the agricultural sector.

Approximately 23,000 households have been selected across 20 regions of Ukraine, excluding the occupied territories and conflict zones. Each household was randomly chosen, and substitutions are not provided for. Participation is voluntary but crucial for ensuring data accuracy.

Specialists will approach households with documentation and explain the survey’s purpose. Selected respondents can choose between a personal interview or a telephone survey. Data remains confidential and is used only in an aggregated form.

“Population surveys help understand the realities and key processes in agriculture. Thank you for your trust and participation,” stated Arsen Makarchuk, Head of the State Statistics Service.

The collected data will prove important for planning the development of the agricultural sector and improving state policy. The resumption of the survey has been made possible thanks to changes in legislation.
