Almost 40% of Lviv Region’s Population Lives in Villages

In the Lviv region, a significant portion of the population, almost 40%, resides in villages, where over 1,300 agricultural enterprises operate, nearly a thousand of which are farms. This region ranks second in Ukraine for pig population and fifth for poultry. Horticulture, berry farming, product processing, craft production, logistics, and bioenergy are actively developing.

For the next stage of agricultural sector development, the Lviv region requires partners and investment. This was the focus of the Danish-Ukrainian business conference in the agricultural sector. The event brought together representatives of Ukrainian and Danish businesses around areas of cooperation such as agrotechnology, processing, logistics, the dairy industry, and energy resilience.

The conference was attended by 13 Danish companies. Among the distinguished guests were the Danish ambassador to Ukraine, Thomas Lund-Sorensen, and representatives of the government and investment funds. This attests to the trust in Ukraine and its agricultural sector, which has immense potential for innovation, new jobs, and technologies.
