
In the town of Riverhead, law enforcement officers are searching for a man who, according to their reports, took prohibited photographs of a woman in a Walmart store. The incident occurred on 7 August at around 7:30 p.m. in the shopping centre at 1890 Old Country Road.
According to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Riverhead Police Department, an unidentified man used a mobile phone to take a photo up a woman’s dress, which is classified as unlawful surveillance.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers has offered a cash reward for information that helps identify and locate the suspect and leads to his arrest.
Information can be provided anonymously by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, via the P3 Tips mobile app (available in the App Store and on Google Play) or on the P3Tips.com website. Police emphasise that all calls, text messages and emails will remain confidential.
Law enforcement officials stress that a criminal charge is only an allegation, and an individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
