Families of fallen defenders from the community took part in the nationwide pilgrimage, which took place this past weekend near the village of Lishnya in Ternopil region. The event brought together families who have lost loved ones in the Russian-Ukrainian war for communal prayer and to honour the memory of the fallen.
Every year this pilgrimage unites thousands of families from different parts of Ukraine. For the participants, it is an opportunity to pray for the fallen, share their experiences and feel the support of people who have gone through a similar loss.
Alongside the families of the Heroes were representatives of the community, who spent the day in prayer and remembrance with them, paying tribute to the feat of the service personnel who gave their lives for Ukraine.
The memory of every fallen defender remains an important part of the community’s life, which bows its head to their sacrifice and continues to support the defenders’ families.
