Internally displaced persons currently living within the territory of the Stryi Eparchy can apply for grant support from Stryi Caritas. The programme provides separate strands for the development of agriculture and for gaining a new profession or upgrading qualifications.
The first strand is agricultural grants for households. The funds may be used to purchase seeds, fertilisers, animal feed, agricultural tools, pay for veterinary services, repair greenhouses and livestock facilities, install irrigation systems, purchase equipment and cover other expenses related to developing the farm. The maximum amount of support is up to 40,000 UAH per household.
The second strand concerns grants for vocational training. It offers the opportunity to take courses online, offline or in a blended format. The duration of training may range from two weeks to six months. On completion, participants receive a certificate or diploma, and beneficiaries have the right to choose both the training course and the education provider themselves. The cost of such training can be funded in an amount of up to 27,000 UAH.
Only internally displaced persons who are actually residing within the territory of the Stryi Eparchy may take part in the selection. The organisers have made detailed terms of participation and application forms for each strand publicly available.
