
An investigation is under way in Bowdoin, Maine, USA, into an attempted arson of an abandoned mobile home. According to the Maine Department of Public Safety, unknown individuals entered the building and tried to set it on fire.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal responded to a call on Saturday at 243 John Tarr Road after the owner discovered signs of an attempted arson. Investigators’ preliminary assessment is that the incident occurred sometime between Sunday, 19 July, and Saturday, 25 July.
The incident resulted in minor damage, but the investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officers are gathering information to identify those responsible for the offence.
The Maine Department of Public Safety has urged anyone who has any information about this incident, or who noticed suspicious activity near the address during the specified period, to contact investigators. The department stresses that even seemingly minor details may prove useful.
