The “Pivnichnyi” production unit of Zahid-Agro MHP LLC is warning beekeepers and residents of the town of Busk, as well as the villages of Kupche, Kizliv and Pobuzhany, about a planned chemical treatment of maize crops.
According to the company, between 21 July and 1 August 2026, maize in fields outside these populated areas will be sprayed with the insecticide “Presto”. The application rate of the product will be 0.4 l/ha.
It is noted that the active substances of the product are lambda-cyhalothrin and clothianidin, and its toxicity class is 2. The treatment will be carried out using a quadcopter in the evening and at night, from 18:00 to 10:00.
Beekeepers are asked to take timely measures to prevent bee poisoning and to take this information into account when planning work in their apiaries.
