Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show in Santa Clara to offer tips for travellers

The Santa Clara Convention Center is preparing to host the Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show, which will bring together celebrity travellers, tourism experts and companies from around the globe under one roof. The event will run on Saturday, 21 March, from 10:00 to 17:00, and on Sunday, 22 March, from 11:00 to 16:00.

According to Jonathan Golicz, vice president of the Travel & Adventure Show, visitors will be able to talk directly with representatives of travel destinations, tour operators, cruise lines and airlines, including international carriers and brands such as Celebrity Cruises and Cathay Pacific. Special offers and discounts will be available on site that cannot be accessed through other sales channels.

The organisers note that hundreds of stands will be operating at the show, helping attendees choose, plan and personalise their next trip. Some participants are preparing prize draws and promotions, giving visitors the chance to win an overseas holiday.

The programme includes talks by well-known experts, among them Phil Rosenthal, host of the Netflix show “Watch Somebody Feed Phil”, and Peter Greenberg, travel editor at CBS News. They will be sharing advice on how to avoid common travel pitfalls. There will also be lectures by traveller Angel Castellanos, who has visited more than 100 countries and will be speaking about travel technology, safety, packing and the practical aspects of planning trips.

According to the organisers, despite the popularity of online services and AI-based tools, the in-person exhibition format makes it possible to receive tailored recommendations directly from representatives of resorts, hotels, airlines and cruise lines, and to select an itinerary that fits a specific budget and the needs of a family or an individual traveller.

Tickets for the Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show can be purchased online, as well as via the organisers’ social media channels, where, they say, prices are slightly lower than on the website. Children under 17, frontline medical workers and military personnel can attend the event free of charge. The show will occupy the entire Santa Clara Convention Center over the two days.
