The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to provide grants for the construction of new vegetable and fruit storage facilities.
This initiative aims to develop the storage infrastructure for agricultural products, reduce crop losses, and create new jobs in rural areas. Agricultural producers can receive grant support of up to 30% of the project cost, but no more than 20 million UAH, on the condition of co-financing at least 70%.
A mandatory condition is the creation of new jobs: for storage facilities with a capacity of 3,000 to 6,000 tons — at least 12 employees, for storage facilities of more than 6,000 tons — at least 16 employees. The grant is provided for the construction of one storage facility, which must be completed within one construction phase.
The project implementation period will range from 6 to 18 months. Applications are submitted through the ‘Diia’ portal with mandatory attachment of project documentation. “The introduction of grant support opens new opportunities for the development of the agricultural sector in the Lviv region,” said Lyudmyla Honcharenko.
