Veterans in Lviv Region can receive up to UAH 500,000 in compensation for agricultural machinery

War veterans and their family members who run or plan to start their own business in the agricultural sector in the Lviv region can receive compensation from the regional budget for purchased agricultural machinery, vehicles and equipment. This opportunity is provided for by the Comprehensive Programme for the Support and Development of Agriculture in Lviv Region for 2021–2026.

Support is provided to business entities whose founders or participants are war veterans, ATO/JFO participants, their family members, as well as the families of fallen defenders of Ukraine. The compensation applies to new fixed assets purchased in the current year – agricultural machinery, vehicles and equipment.

The amount of reimbursement is up to 75% of the cost of the purchased fixed assets excluding VAT, but not more than UAH 500,000 per applicant. The compensation covers machinery of both Ukrainian and foreign manufacture, except for equipment produced in Russia and Belarus.

Within this area, UAH 3 million has been allocated in the regional budget for 2026. The Lviv Regional Military Administration emphasises that financial resources are still available, so veterans and their families who work or plan to work in the agricultural sector and are purchasing machinery or equipment are encouraged to submit documents to take part in the programme.

For the purposes of participation in the programme, family members are considered to be the veteran’s husband, wife and adult children. To receive financial support, it is necessary to submit a package of documents to the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional Military Administration at the following address: Lviv, 4 V. Chornovola Avenue, 9th floor.

The terms of the programme, the list of required documents and sample applications are available on the website of the Lviv Regional Military Administration. For clarifications and consultations, applicants are advised to contact the Department of Agro-Industrial Development directly.
