
40 years have passed since the disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, a tragedy that changed the course of history not only for Ukraine but for the entire world. This day is significant for all of us as we honour the heroes who, at the cost of their health and lives, prevented even greater tragedies.
The residents of the Lopatyn Territorial Community, who participated in the cleanup of the disaster, remain forever in our memory. Among them are Lyudmila Viktorivna Kyrychuk, Halyna Dmytrivna Vorobei, Svitlana Mykhailivna Strykovska, Svitlana Ivanivna Tsalkovska, Fedir Danylovych Tsalkovskyi, Ihor Vasylovych Khalyk, Mykola Hryhorovych Zinchuk, Vasyl Mykolaiovych Vorobei, Vasyl Vasylovych Havryshchuk, Petro Hryhorovych Domanchnuk, Mykhailo Volodymyrovych Khotenchan.
Their heroism is a true example of courage and spirit. Their bravery and self-sacrifice serve as an important lesson for future generations. We thank them for this.
