The charity run at Stryiskyi Park in Lviv gathered around a thousand participants, uniting them in raising funds for seriously ill children. This event, initiated by the ‘With an Angel on the Shoulder’ foundation and Symphony Solutions with the support of the Lviv Regional Council, took place from 1st to 10th May.
Participants individually chose their distance, with the overall goal of covering 20,000 km. Each kilometre converts into 1 euro to support the mobile hospice at the Clinical Centre for Paediatric Medicine.
“This initiative demonstrates cooperation and responsibility, as it is aimed at helping the children under the care of the mobile hospice. Currently, 104 children are under its care, and each family requires our support,” emphasised Yuriy Kholod, Acting Head of the Lviv Regional Council.
The event was joined by government representatives, athletes, as well as teams from over 15 municipal institutions. Participation is also possible online via the Strava app. Nataliya Radysh, a mother of two, highlighted that significant resources are necessary for the full lives of the hospice’s wards.
