Zenon Vrublevskyi dies in his 100th year

Zenon Vrublevskyi, a participant in the liberation movement who lived through the key trials of twentieth-century Ukrainian history, has died in his 100th year.

In his youth, he belonged to the underground of the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists, fought in the “Halychyna” division, and later in the ranks of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. For his activities, Vrublevskyi endured captivity and Soviet labour camps.

He fought for an independent Ukraine at a time when merely holding national convictions could cost you your freedom or your life. His long life stands as a testament to indomitability and unwavering dedication to the idea of Ukrainian statehood.

The bright memory of Zenon Vrublevskyi is gratefully cherished by his comrades-in-arms and all those for whom his path is an example of the struggle for Ukraine’s freedom. Sincere condolences are extended to his family and loved ones.

Information about the time and place of the parastas and funeral will be announced separately.
