The Lviv region bids farewell to Member of Parliament Stepan Kubiv, whose heart suddenly stopped on 18 May. The farewell is taking place at the Archeparchial Cathedral of St George. A native of the Lviv region, Kubiv was a renowned state and public figure, an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity.
Yuriy Kholod, acting head of the Lviv Regional Council, expressed condolences to the family and friends of Stepan Kubiv. He noted: “Stepan Ivanovych was a sincere person who dedicated his life to serving Ukraine, working for the benefit of the Ukrainian economy and statehood.”
On 20 May, the funeral service will be held in the cathedral. The farewell will continue at Rynok Square near the Town Hall, after which the procession will proceed to Lychakiv Cemetery for the burial service.
