Hydraulic Testing of Networks Begins in Lviv

Starting today, 11 May, Lviv begins hydraulic testing, which will last for about five days. This process will help identify weak points in the heating networks and prevent accidents during the winter period.

The hydraulic tests begin in the Sykhiv, Frankivsk, Shevchenko, and partially Lychakiv and Halytsky districts. Here, the condition of the networks connected to the largest heat supply sources — CHP-1 and the ‘North’ Thermal Centre — will be checked. Because of this, hot water supply to the residential areas serviced by these facilities will be suspended.

“During the works, we suspend the hot water supply. Last winter posed many challenges due to enemy attacks, and the upcoming winter could be even more difficult. We cannot neglect the condition of our networks,” said Oleksandr Odynets, director of Lvivteploenergo municipal enterprise.

The hydraulic testing of the Zaliznychnyi district will take place from 16 to 30 June, and currently, the network from the boiler house on 95a Kulparkivska Street is being checked, with plans to connect several dozen buildings to CHP-1. During the tests, emergency sections of the heating networks will also be replaced.

The annual hydraulic tests are conducted following technical requirements to identify problems in the networks in advance and prevent accidents.
