Free Transfers in Lviv Resume from 11th April

In Lviv, starting from 11th April, the possibility of free transfers in public transport is being restored for passengers who pay for their journey via the app or with a LeoCard. This information was provided by the Director of the Department of City Mobility and Street Infrastructure, Oleh Zabarilo.

As Oleh Zabarilo noted, the suspension of transfers was a temporary measure to stabilise the transport system during the increase in fuel prices from 11th March. During this time, carriers were able to receive additional funds.

Despite the fact that fuel prices remain unstable, the city of Lviv is planning to restore the possibility of free transfers for the convenience of passengers.

The free transfer was initially introduced on 12th July 2024 for LeoCard holders, and from 11th December of the previous year for users of the LeoCard app. This allows passengers to change to another bus, tram, or trolleybus within 40 minutes without any additional charge.
