Lift Installed in Lviv for Child with Disability

In a residential building at 13 Symonenka St. in Lviv, an inclined lift has been installed for a child born in 2018 with a disability. According to the Frankivsk District Administration, work on accessibility improvements began last year with the repair of entrance stairs and the installation of a ramp. This year, an additional lift was installed, and plans are underway to upgrade the elevator.

The lift, installed by “Lvivsvitlo” LCP, moves along a metal guide fixed to the wall. This makes access convenient for children using wheelchairs. Ensuring accessibility is crucial for the daily life of the child and their family.

The administration emphasises the priority of such measures, noting that last year 38 lifts and 51 ramps were installed in the Lviv community. To participate in the programme, residents must submit applications to the CNAP or district administration, have verified disabilities, and be registered at the respective building. After inspection by a special group, the address is added to the Accessibility Programme list.
