Yaroslav Burban from Lviv killed in battles for Ukraine

On Saturday, 18 March, a farewell will be held in Lviv for the defender of Ukraine, serviceman Yaroslav Burban, who gave his life defending the country from Russian occupiers. The City Council urges residents to join the event and refrain from any entertainment activities during this time, as reported by the Lviv City Council.

The farewell ceremony will begin at 11:00 at the Church of St Basil the Great and St Martyr Oleksiy Zarytskyi of the UGCC on Riasnianska Street, 392. The burial will take place in the military section of Riasne Cemetery on Lukasevycha Street.

Yaroslav Burban (14.04.1995 — 08.03.2026), a resident of Lviv, attended Secondary School No. 92, later studying “Telecommunications” at Lviv Polytechnic. He also attended the Ukrainian Printing Academy and completed his studies at the military department. In 2025, he joined the Armed Forces, defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine on the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction as part of military unit A5192.

According to his loved ones, Yaroslav was a loyal patriot, known for his kindness and unwavering sense of duty. He was calm, open to people, and had a keen interest in computer technologies. He is survived by his parents, sister, nephew, and the entire family.
