
An organizer of an illegal border crossing channel has been detained in Transcarpathia. He was assisting individuals in escaping to Slovakia for 12,000 US dollars.
According to the investigation, a 40-year-old military officer created an illegal scheme to transport men of conscription age to Slovakia, bypassing official checkpoints. He found ‘clients’ via the Internet and provided them with detailed instructions regarding the route and method of crossing the border. He charged 12,000 US dollars per person for his services.
*Law enforcement officers documented the receipt of a down payment from two residents of Kyiv region*, who were planning to illegally leave Ukraine during the war. They were detained near the border, and an administrative protocol was filed.
The military officer has been detained in accordance with Article 615 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and has been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen. The procedural supervision is carried out by the Transcarpathian Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Western region.
