Basketball Tournament in Memory of the Hero of Ukraine
Tomorrow, March 8, in the sports hall of SK “Shakhtar”, a children’s basketball tournament in memory of Hero Oleg Dradrakh will take place.
Honoring the Memory of the Hero
In the early days of the full-scale invasion, Oleg Dradrakh voluntarily joined the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. The defender became the commander of the fire control section of the mortar platoon of the operational unit battalion of military unit 3018 of the National Guard of Ukraine and defended the skies as an operator of the aerial reconnaissance unit “Mosquitos”.
Among his comrades, Oleg was notable for his composure, responsibility, poise, sense of humor, and optimism, earning the call sign “Baida”. The Hero perished on July 17, 2024, during a combat mission near the village of Spirne in the Donetsk region.
