The Belz territorial community is actively engaging in the broader process of transformational changes occurring in the Lviv region.
Recently, the first meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Fair Transformation Action Plan for the coal micro-region of Lviv region by 2030 took place. This is a large-scale process involving the Lviv Regional State Administration, GIZ Ukraine, and international partners.
Present at this meeting was Lubov Rebrina, the executive secretary of the Belz City Council, representing the Belz community. This indicates the community’s readiness not only to develop its strategic documents but also to be an active participant in the overall regional transformation process.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that less than a year after the adoption of the Action Plan, about 500 million UAH from various budget levels had been mobilized for the implementation of 17 projects. A significant portion of the funding was ensured by the support of GIZ, which has been a strategic partner of the region since the transformation began.
Examples of co-financing projects with regional budget funds were also noted, demonstrating the region’s readiness to invest its own resources in changes.
For the Belz community, participating in these processes opens up new opportunities, from attracting investments in local infrastructure to enhancing economic resilience and integration into the pan-European development context.
The Belz community continues to actively form its strategic development vision while participating in key regional and international initiatives.
