In Malechiv, the community office has received its own alternative power supply: solar panels have been installed on the roof of the administrative building. This will allow the institution to continue operating even in the event of prolonged power cuts.
According to the Office for Agglomeration and Community Development, the project was implemented as a pilot using funds from the city budget. If the system proves effective, next year solar power stations are planned to be installed on other administrative buildings that house offices and meet the necessary technical requirements.
Thanks to the autonomous power supply, office staff will be able to receive residents as usual, issue certificates, register documents and provide basic services even during blackouts, as computers and the internet will run on solar panels and batteries.
The institution also expects a reduction in spending on utility payments. All installation and commissioning works were carried out by a contractor commissioned by the Office for Agglomeration and Community Development.
