Lviv Region representative Volodymyr Orynchak is developing an AI agent for communities

Volodymyr Orynchak, a representative of the Chamber of Youth Regional Congresses from the Starosambir community in Lviv Region, has joined a national team of young engineers who are creating an AI agent to support local self-government bodies.

Participants from five regions of Ukraine have been involved in developing the artificial intelligence-based digital tool. As part of a working visit to Rivne Region, representatives of youth congresses from Lviv, Rivne, Kyiv, Kherson and Luhansk regions came together to turn cutting-edge technologies into a practical service for communities.

According to Volodymyr Orynchak, the team is working to ensure that complex technical solutions become useful and accessible for community residents and the civic sector.

“We are currently in Rivne developing an AI agent for local self-government. The coolest thing about this is that we are taking complex technologies and making them useful for ordinary people and communities. This is no longer just talk about innovation, but real working code that helps you better understand your own community. For youth initiatives and the civic sector, this will mean the emergence of a clear tool for communicating with institutions,” says Volodymyr Orynchak

The AI agent under development is intended to help communities and regions streamline their workflows: find and analyse open data more quickly, prepare reports and recommendations, and provide analytical support when management decisions are being made.

The team of young engineers is coordinated by the head of Rivne Region, Oleksandr Koval, who, according to the organisers, already has experience in creating and implementing artificial intelligence solutions at regional level.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Viktor Mykyta, noted that the participants are not only generating ideas, but are also working directly with data, defining tasks for the tool, testing the AI agent’s responses and suggesting improvements in order to take real community needs into account.

For Lviv Region, Volodymyr Orynchak’s participation in this project is seen as an example of the active role played by the region’s youth in national initiatives to create modern digital services for communities across Ukraine. Director of the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism, Roman Khimyak, stressed that involving young leaders in such development work makes it possible to devise solutions that can later be implemented in local self-government and shared between regions.
